Hey! I’m Danica Salajko creator of Bathing Belle Swimwear. I’m the crazy lady in Roncesvalles Toronto, who custom makes bathing suits! 

At Bathing Belle Swimwear, we believe that every body is beautiful and deserves to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Our journey began in the late 80’s when my mom and aunt opened a custom swimwear shop in Toronto. Growing up, I witnessed their dedication to providing exceptional customer service, listening to each individual's needs, and creating swimsuits that were tailored to perfection. It was during this time that my passion for sewing and creating unique swimwear was ignited.

After graduating from George Brown College's Fashion Design program, I embarked on a career as a wardrobe stylist and production assistant for film, television, and photography. Working behind the scenes, I gained invaluable experience and witnessed firsthand the hard work and dedication that goes into every production. The laughter and camaraderie in the studio became an integral part of my life, and I was fortunate to collaborate with incredibly talented artists.

In 2019, I founded Bathing Belle Swimwear with a vision to offer stylish and eco-friendly swimwear options. Our collection combines fashion-forward designs with sustainable materials that are resistant to UV rays and saltwater. From the one-shoulder top with a high-cut waistband bottom in Red Passion to the blue sheer V-tank one piece, each piece is meticulously crafted to enhance your natural beauty and make you feel like a true bathing belle.

2018 Bathing Belle Swimwear opened its doors to the public at 355 Roncesvalles Ave! It was so nice to see this dream become a reality! Finally a place to showcase all my designs! So here we are! I’ve been making women, men, non binary, kids all feel good in their own skin! I’m putting them in the best swimsuits they ever had! Custom Canadian swimwear made right in my Toronto boutique and shipped all over the world, my M.O. (other than going backstage at a Weird Al concert) is to flip the swimsuit shopping experience upside down -- especially for those who find it difficult. We welcome you with our Jungle hallway, that leads you to our welcoming boutique, and custom fittings in our flamingo change room!
